F2Pool opens office in Pyongyang, targeting Korean market
F2Pool officially announces the opening of a new office in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, adding hundreds of new jobs to the stagnant economy.
The space will be in Pyongyang Super Happy Harmonious Technology Park, about a 30-minute drive away from the seat of the Best Korea's government in downtown. "F2Pool currently has two employees in the country and plans to hire several hundred more, with an emphasis on hiring Bitcoin Cash maximalists", said Wang Chun, F2Pool's co-founder, during a press conference today.
The complex will also play an important role in spreading Bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption while lending stability to Korea's tumultuous fiscal climate. Last year, the "BUY Bitcoin!!!" project, as it is often referred to, put bitcoin in the hands of over 500 Eskimos in Canada's remote tundra regions. Chun hopes to build on this success in Korea stating, "If the non-Democratic non-People's Good Korea's northern neighbors also join the cryptocurrency movement, we see great promise in reuniting the two nations within our lifetime."
In the wake of "No-FOMO", F2Pool's controversial project to build awareness around the dangers of speculative bubbles (which was a PR disaster), close attention will be paid to what the company does in Korea and its other hubs in Asia. An F2Pool spokesperson said there was no link between those issues and the expansion of its Korean offices.
