Nervos Mainnet Launch

CKB is the token of the PoW public chain project named Nervos. Its mining algorithm is Eaglesong, which supports NVIDIA and AMD GPU card mining. The Nervos team announced that the CKB mainnet "Lina" will launch on Nov 15th, 2019 (UTC time).

CKB has received great attention leading up to its mainnet launch. In the past five testnet competitions, there were tens of thousands of mining machines participating in the test. In the fifth competition, F2Pool's hashrate reached 22TH/s and became the largest CKB testnet pool. Many F2Pool miners are also excited to contribute their hashrate to the CKB mainnet. Our team is excited to launch our CKB mining pool immediately at mainnet launch, to provide CKB mining services to miners.

When will the CKB testnet switch to mainnet?

CKB testnet Rylai will automatically terminate and transition to epoch 90 when the end of epoch 89 is reached. After that, the Genesis block will be verified, allowing the mainnet to officially launch. However, due to the design of NC-max, each epoch time varies with the overall hashrate of the network so it's not possible to predict the exact time. According to the latest article released by Nervos, the estimated time is 2019–11–15 20:00 UTC.

Special reminder

• The mining configuration of the CKB mainnet remains the same as the mining configuration of testnet mining. Miners don't need to do any other operations. If you use NBMiner software, you can do CKB and ETH merged mining. For more details, please refer to the CKB mining guide.
• The rewards of the 4th and 5th testnet competitions will be calculated according to a specific ratio, and will be announced to the public and released after the calculations are completed.
