As a global leader in the crypto mining industry, our F2Pool team is passionate about connecting people interested in blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and mining. Moscow is a vibrant city with a huge mining community and that's why we chose it as our first stop! It's our honor to co-host with Whatsminer, one of the leaders in the ASIC manufacturing industry.

Whatsminer: changing the game

MicroBT has developed Whatsminer into one of the leading brands of ASIC machines. Based in Shenzhen, MicroBT has an extensive background in both blockchain and AI which suggests a very promising outlook. The Whatsminer product range includes the most impressive ASIC machines of 2019 - the M20 series, which has set the standard for mining hardware in terms of power and efficiency.

The man behind the S9: Yang Zuoxing

In July 2016, Yang Zuoxing (Dr. Yang) founded MicroBT, where he has served as Chairman, CEO, and CTO. His career in hardware and chip design has taken many interesting turns over the years. After graduating with a PhD from Tsinghua University, in 2014, Zuoxing entered the cryptocurrency world when he worked for China's first crypto mining hardware maker, Friedcat. Here he designed a hardware chip which, in terms of power consumption, outperformed some of the leading models on the market. Following this he was the first to apply the full-customization chip design methodology for advanced processes, whilst competitors still used APR (auto place and routing).

MicroBT's machines were first recognized when they released their Whatsminer M10 series. The M10S, with 55 TH/s and 65 W/T performance was the best miner in 2018. It had the highest hash rate and unrivaled power efficiency, regarded at one point as the "Hash King". Building on the success of the M10 Series, Whatsminer released the M20 Series only seven months after the M10 launch.

New M20 Series

The Whatsminer M20S and M21S are two of the most profitable mining machines on the market today. These products are an excellent choice due to their high hashrate, low power consumption and excellent heat dissipation, making them perfect for a mining operation of any size.

Whatsminer M20S

  • Hashrate: 68 TH/s
  • Power-to-Hashrate Ratio: 48 W/T
  • Power Consumption: 3264 W

Whatsminer M21S

  • Hashrate: 56 TH/s
  • Power-to-Hashrate Ratio: 60 W/T
  • Power Consumption: 3360 W

Earlier this year Whatsminer published live testing videos for both products. From the test videos, the M20S demonstrated its ability to produce 68 TH/s with power efficiency at 48.45 W/T, an impressive performance! Check out the footage of the impressive performance.
